Patrick Benedek is a seasoned attorney with over two decades of experience practicing law in both the United States and Brazil. He holds law degrees from both Southwestern Law School, in Los Angeles, and Pontifícia Universidade Católica in Rio de Janeiro, as well as an MBA in Business and Economy Law from Getúlio Vargas Foundation in Rio de Janeiro.
With dual licensure and a comprehensive international background, Patrick offers strategic counsel to a diverse clientele, spanning corporate entities and individuals, across both domestic and international arenas.
Having commenced his legal career in 1996 (2007 in the U.S.), Patrick has adeptly represented clients across various sectors, including construction, international trade, internet, entertainment and new media, sports, real estate, retail, food, financing, and transportation.
Patrick has served as a consulting attorney in a complex transnational matter dealing with international petroleum and natural gas disputes. His role involved providing expert guidance on Comparative Law issues and navigating the nuanced intersection between Civil Law and Common Law aspects of the dispute.

Attorney Patrick Benedek
During his time in Brazil, Patrick held positions of significant legal responsibility. He served as in-house counsel for an engineering corporation and later as the supervising attorney at the Banking Division of the Consumers’ National Federation in Rio de Janeiro. In these roles, he successfully managed a portfolio of over 400 lawsuits against financial institutions.
Currently, Patrick holds the esteemed position of Executive Vice-President of the Board of Directors at the Brazil-California Chamber of Commerce. He actively contributes to the Chamber’s Legislative and International Trade Committees.
Recognized for his contributions and dedication to the Brazilian community, Patrick has been appointed as the outside general counsel to the Brazilian Consulate in Los Angeles. In this capacity, he has been offering legal counsel to Brazilian nationals across a spectrum of legal matters for over a decade.
With first-hand knowledge and experience in both the Brazilian and American legal systems, Patrick is uniquely positioned to deliver quality consultative and legal services to clients with matters involving the law of either or both countries.
